This custom file cabinet desk began with a design created by my client, who came to me with detailed drawings and a clear vision for what he wanted. My job was to take his design and turn it into a finely crafted piece of furniture.

The desk is made from Bubinga and Birdseye Maple, two beautiful woods that work especially well together. The flip-top opens to reveal vertical file storage, while two dovetailed drawers provide convenient storage for office supplies.

I enjoy projects like this because the client brings the original idea and I get to work out the details and turn that idea into a finished piece of custom furniture. From the selection of materials to the construction and finishing, every part of this Bubinga and Birdseye Maple file cabinet desk was built specifically for my client.
