Garrard 401 Custom Audio Cabinet stereo cabinet
Vintage stereo console with turntable and glass doors

Conceptual rendering

Designed around one of the iconic Garrard 401 turntables, this custom cabinet celebrates the art of analog listening through exceptional craftsmanship and thoughtful engineering. Created specifically for the Garrard 401, it combines timeless furniture design with the functional requirements of a serious high-fidelity system.

Handcrafted from figured Curly Cherry with contrasting Wenge accents, every detail was considered to complement both the legendary turntable and the space it occupies. The carved F-holes, inspired by fine stringed instruments, add a subtle artistic signature while paying tribute to the world of music.

The lift-top lid is fitted with premium hinges that hold it securely in the open position for effortless record playback. Touch-latch glass doors below protect the components behind clean, uninterrupted lines, while hidden side access panels provide easy cable routing and maintenance without disturbing the cabinet's elegant appearance.

Inside, the cabinet can be configured to accommodate amplifiers, preamps, streamers, and other audio components. Ventilation, wire management, shelving, and equipment layout are all tailored to your specific system, ensuring the cabinet performs as beautifully as it looks.

Like every piece created by Joel Liebman Furniture, this cabinet is built one at a time and designed exclusively for its owner. Dimensions, wood species, finishes, hardware, storage options, and internal layout can all be customized, allowing you to create a piece that is both a showcase for your audio equipment and a lasting heirloom for your home.

Whether your style leans toward Mid-Century Modern, Art Deco, Contemporary, or something entirely your own, each cabinet is thoughtfully designed to become an integral part of your living space while honoring the enduring tradition of high-fidelity music reproduction.
