The client came to me with a photo of a table they had purchased in Italy. The table featured a beautiful, hand-painted ceramic lava stone tabletop, but the original simple metal base didn’t do much to complement it. They felt the tabletop deserved something better.

We spent a lot of time talking about the design, looking through my portfolio, and exploring different wood choices. Together, we developed a new base that would complement the character of the Italian tabletop while giving the piece a strong presence of its own.
